The 2010 Ford Transit holds 4.5 quarts of oil. It is recommended to use Motorcraft Premium Synthetic Blend or Full Synthetic oil with a viscosity of SAE 5W-20 for optimal performance. Check the oil level weekly to ensure the engine is properly lubricated. To do so, open the driver's side door and locate the hood release lever below the kick panel. Lift the hood using the latch between the grill and hood, then secure it with the prop rod. Remove the oil dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert fully, then check that the oil level is between the MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick.
