If you have a 2005 Honda Odyssey, the transmission fluid capacity is approximately 8.3 quarts. However, when you are changing the transmission fluid, you will not be adding this entire amount. When you drain the fluid by opening the plug, only about 3.5 quarts will come out, as the rest remains in the system. If you think a complete system flush and replacement is necessary, it is recommended to do 3 or 4 fluid changes over the course of a week. After each 3.5 quart change, drive the vehicle for a day or two before changing again. By the end of the process, most of the original fluid will be replaced with new fluid.
The amount of transmission fluid that the 2005 Honda Odyssey can hold is 3.3 quarts in the United States.
