The 2019 Ford EcoSport does not allow you to open the trunk from inside the vehicle. You must step outside and manually open it from the rear. Look at the passenger's side tail light where you'll find a black square on the silver area. Press this button to open the trunk.

There is a button located on the passenger side near the tail light that, when pressed, opens up by swinging towards the driver's side like a door.
