In older versions of the Nissan Altima, if your battery is dead and you need to access the trunk, you can use the key to unlock it and then pull up on the lever to open it. However, in newer models without a keyhole on the trunk, you will need to open the door with your physical key and then fold down the back seats to reach the trunk.
