To start a 2013 Chevy Silverado remotely, you first need to lock all the doors by pressing the lock button on the key fob. Then, hold down the start button at the top until the truck's lights flash and the engine starts. To confirm if the remote start function is activated, you can check the Driver Information Center (DIC). When you're seated in the driver's seat, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. On the instrument panel to the left of the steering wheel, locate the four buttons for the DIC. Press the third button from the top, which resembles two checkboxes with the top one checked. Keep pressing it until the display shows "REMOTE START: PRESS - TO CHANGE." Press the bottom checkbox button to see if the remote start function is turned on or off.
If you possess a key fob for the car, you can simply press the button to activate and start the vehicle.
