The 2013 Ford Fiesta has a fuel filter that is built into the fuel pump on the sending unit inside the tank. Generally, this filter should last as long as the pump and may not need replacing. However, if the filter gets damaged from fuel contaminants, it is recommended to replace the entire fuel sending unit. To access it, go under the back seats on the passenger side and locate the plastic circular cap, which covers the fuel tank. Remove the cap, then take out the entire fuel sending unit assembly. Disconnect the wires and hoses, and remove the unit completely. Install a new unit by connecting the lines and wires in the opposite order of removal.
