In order to replace the starter on a 2012 Ford Escape, you will have to dismantle the front of your vehicle. Begin by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery to avoid any potential injuries. Take off the front bumper and grille, then move the radiator to access the starter and its wiring. Once you have a clear view, remove the starter motor by loosening a few bolts. This will grant you complete access to the starter, allowing you to remove it from the vehicle. To install the new starter, mount it properly and reassemble the vehicle.
