How can I clear the brake light indicator on my BMW X3?

The brake light on the BMW X3 will come on to tell you it's time to change your brakes. It's a reminder that your vehicle needs some servicing. Once you've replaced the brakes and sensors, you'll have to reset the light. To do this, turn on the car without starting it and check that the time is displayed in the center of the instrument panel. Then, press and hold the ODO reset button for about 5 seconds. A yellow triangle light will appear on the dashboard - keep holding the button until the next symbol shows up. Continue pressing the button until you see the symbols for the front and rear brakes. Hold the button down again until you see the word "RESET" under the symbol.

To clear the brake light in a BMW X3, switch the ignition on without starting the engine. Press and hold the BC button until the mileage appears on the dashboard, then press the ODO Reset button.
