To reset the oil life on a 2011 Chevy Traverse, you need to change the oil. Before starting the oil change, ensure the vehicle has been parked and turned off for a few hours to avoid getting burned by the hot oil. Locate the oil pan and drain plug in the engine compartment, position a bucket beneath the plug, and remove it to let the oil drain completely. Once the dripping stops, reinstall the plug and find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel, making sure not to overfill it to prevent leaks and oil burn-off. After filling it, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and you're done.
