If the oil light illuminates in your Toyota Yaris, it means you should change the oil. Typically, a dealership or mechanic will reset the light after servicing the vehicle. If they forget or if you are doing the oil change yourself, you can easily reset it. Start by turning the vehicle on without starting the engine, then press the ODOMETER/TRIP button until you reach TRIP A. Turn the ignition off, hold the ODOMETER/TRIP button, turn the key back on, and keep holding it until you see 000000 on the trip odometer. Turn the vehicle off, then back on, and the light will be reset.

To turn off the oil light on a Toyota Yaris, begin by turning the ignition switch to the "on" position without starting the engine. If your car has a push-button start, press it without pressing the brake pedal. Then, quickly tap the odometer button until you see "trip a" displayed.
