To reset the oil life on a 2010 Ford F-250, you need to press the reset oil button on the dashboard. However, in order to keep the light from coming back on, you should also do an oil change. Before changing the oil in the car, make sure it has been turned off and parked for a couple of hours to let the oil cool down. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and find the drain plug underneath it. Place a bucket under the plug and remove it to allow the oil to drain into the bucket. Wait until it stops dripping, which could take around an hour. Once it has finished draining, replace the drain plug and then find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the full level, being careful not to overfill. It's better to be slightly under the full mark to prevent leaks and oil burn off. After filling it up, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and you're done.
I am aware of a reset button, but it appears to be ineffective as none of the buttons I press seem to be working.
In your car, you can find a button on the dashboard that is used to reset the oil life indicator. Press this button, and then make sure to confirm that you have successfully turned off the warning light.
