To reset the oil life indicator on the 2019 Honda CR-V as an American, the first step is to start the vehicle and ensure it is powered on. Once the engine is running, find the "trip" button located on the right side of the instrument panel. Press and hold the "trip" button until it begins flashing, then release it. After waiting for 3 seconds, press the button again and hold it down for approximately 10 seconds. This should reset the oil life indicator to zero. If you have your oil changed at a Honda dealership, they typically handle this task for you, so you won't need to worry about it.
