To deactivate the passenger airbag in the Ford Transit, locate the dial on the right side under the dashboard near the cup holder labeled Passenger Bag or PAB. Turning this dial to the off position will disable the airbag on that side. It's important to do this when riding solo or with a small child since airbags can cause serious injuries to children and are more hazardous when deactivated.

My vehicle from 2011 does not come equipped with this function, but it has already been deactivated. A small indicator on the dashboard indicates that the passenger side airbag is switched off, and there is no option to reactivate it.
