To disable the daytime running lights on a Nissan Altima, follow these steps: Turn the ignition to the OFF position and engage the parking brake. Start the car while pressing the brake pedal. Then, switch the headlight stalk to OFF. When driving, simply turn off the car to deactivate the DRL. To prevent the DRL from turning on automatically when starting the car, ensure the parking brake is engaged before starting the engine. Keep in mind that the taillights are not active when the DRL is on, so remember to manually turn them on when driving in low light conditions.
This was absolutely no assistance at all.
I've also looked into this online. As far as I know, you need to ensure the car isn't running, then engage the parking brake. Keep it engaged. After that, start the car. This should deactivate them. I plan to give it a try later and hopefully, it'll work.
Oh my goodness, haha it's successful. Switch off the car, engage the parking brake, then start the car again - no headlights are on! This method worked on a 2017 Nissan Altima.
Once the car is turned off and the ignition is off, engage the parking brake. Then, start the car as usual. Voila! The daytime running lights will not be activated until you release the parking brake.
Oh my goodness, it was successful! Thank you all very much!
I am aware of how to accomplish that task.
