If the headlights on your MINI Cooper are starting to lose their brightness and look cloudy, it means that the protective clear coat on them is wearing off. The headlights are originally made of plastic and coated with clear material at the factory, which can degrade over time. To address this issue, you'll first need to use a fine-grit wet sandpaper to strip off the old clear coat from the headlights. Then, apply a polish to remove any scratches caused by the sandpaper. Once the headlights are polished and restored, be sure to reapply a fresh coat of clear finish to protect the plastic from oxidation. Ignoring this step will lead to the headlights deteriorating again.
To get the headlights of a Mini Cooper looking clear and bright, all you have to do is spray them with glass cleaner and then wipe them down with a microfiber cloth until dry.
