Changing the transmission fluid in your 2008 Ford Edge is surprisingly easy and should only take you about 8 to 12 minutes. To get started, open the hood of your car and find the transmission dipstick. Remove the dipstick, clean off any fluid on it, and reinsert it. Take it out again and check the fluid level. If you need to add more fluid, you can buy up to 10 quarts of Dexron or Mercon automatic transmission fluid.
To do a transmission fluid change on a 2008 Ford Edge, you should start by taking out the drain plug from the transmission to let the fluid drain out. After that, put in a new washer and refill the transmission with fresh fluid from the engine area.
