Replacing the manual transmission fluid in a 2012 Ford Fiesta is a straightforward task. You'll need an oil catch can, a ratchet set, and a funnel for refilling. Begin by raising the car or getting underneath it if you can't lift it. Place a drain pan under the transmission drain bolt to collect the fluid that comes out when you open it with a ratchet. Let the fluid drain completely before re-attaching the plug with a new washer and o-ring. Once sealed, refill the transmission from the engine compartment using a funnel.
In order to maintain optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the manual transmission fluid in a 2012 Ford Fiesta every 30,000 to 60,000 miles.
