To find the transmission of the 2017 Ford Edge, go beneath the vehicle on the right side of the engine. The transmission will have 2 bolts. Loosen the 11mm bolt to let the old fluid flow out into a container placed under the vehicle. The Ford Edge uses Mercon V fluid. After draining, go to the engine bay to find the transmission dipstick and filler neck. The reservoir is positioned right and below the engine. In the middle of the block, there is an oil dipstick with a yellow tip. The transmission has a black cap that covers its dipstick. Remove the cap, fill it up, and check the levels with the provided stick. The suitable fluid type will be labeled on the cap.
The transmission fluid in a 2017 Ford Edge should be replaced every 150,000 miles.
This data is inaccurate. The Ford Edge from 2017 does not come with a transmission dipstick. To verify the fluid level, you need to take out the overflow plug beneath the vehicle and insert a small quantity until it starts to flow out.
