To recalibrate the tire pressure sensor on your 2008 Toyota Avalon, begin by parking in a safe location and ensuring that the tire pressure is correct for each tire: 32 psi for the front and rear P215/55R17 tires, and 29 psi for the front and rear P215/60R16 tires. Locate the tire pressure reset button, which can be found on the driver's side near where your knees are positioned in the Avalon. Press and hold this button for a few seconds until the tire pressure light on the instrument cluster starts flashing. Finally, release the button, observe the light disappearing, turn off the vehicle, then restart it.
