If you need to inspect the transmission fluid in a Chevy Spark, you can refer to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ-MOMI4EYU The transmission is a vital component of the car, and issues are bound to arise eventually. Warning signs may include shaking, rough gear shifts, jerking, gears getting stuck, or slipping transmission. It is crucial to promptly address any leaks in the transmission fluid to prevent further problems, such as delays in shifting and acceleration issues. Ideally, the transmission fluid should be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles to maintain optimal performance. In addition, an aging transmission may produce unpleasant noises, so keeping an eye (and ear) on the condition of the fluid is important. A malfunctioning torque converter can also lead to headaches.

I own a 2013 Chevy Spark with a "sealed transmission". To access the transmission fluid, you'll need to get under the car and take out the check valve bolt, not the drain plug.

None of these suggestions were useful. I inquired about a 2020 model and was provided with a video for a 2015. I'm uncertain about what a "pluggy thinging" is or if I need to remove a plug while the vehicle is on a lift to check the oil level. Which plug should I be removing? If you're not knowledgeable about the topic, please refrain from commenting and avoid making yourself appear foolish.

Many transmissions come equipped with a sight glass on the side of the container or a dipstick for checking the fluid level.

You need to raise it on a lift and remove the plug. If fluid comes out, then it's at maximum capacity!

If your vehicle has a CVT transmission, there won't be a dipstick for checking the fluid. It's recommended to visit a reliable mechanic for a fluid change and an overall inspection. Make sure to address any leaks promptly. During regular oil changes, ask the mechanics to check for leaks and inform you of any issues. If leaks are detected, have them repaired quickly. By following this routine and changing the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, you can enjoy many trouble-free miles with your CVT.

Do you verify the fluid level with the engine running?

Do you need to have the engine on when checking the fluid level?

The plug can be found on the driver's side of the transmission. Trace along the edge of the pan towards the front and up the side until you spot it; you will need a 10mm allen key to remove it.
