If you have to swap out the backup camera on a 2014 Ford Fusion, it is a somewhat complex task. First, you need to identify the damaged part and then proceed with its replacement. In the event that your camera is physically damaged and malfunctioning, you'll have to install a new camera housing. To reach it, you'll have to take off the interior trunk panels in the cargo area. After that, remove the nut securing the camera in place. Subsequently, disconnect the camera from the wiring harness at its back and then connect a new one. This should resolve any issues with the camera. If the wiring is also damaged, you might have to replace that component as well.
