To monitor the engine temperature in a BMW e65, you can simply check the temperature gauge on the dashboard. If the temperature is too low, it can impact the fuel efficiency and performance of the vehicle. Conversely, if the temperature is too high, the engine components can overheat and sustain damage. The thermostat is responsible for regulating the engine temperature by opening to allow hot coolant to be cooled in the radiator. When the coolant temperature is low, the thermostat closes to help the engine reach its intended temperature. Most experts recommend that the engine temperature should ideally range from 195 degrees to 220 degrees. In optimal conditions, the gauge needle should remain centered on the gauge.
