Opening the hood of the 2017 Honda Civic is quick and easy, taking just a couple of minutes. First, open the driver's side door and then locate the small lever with a white image of a car with its hood open on the left side kick panel. Pull on this lever to release the hood latch. Next, go to the front of the vehicle and locate the lever underneath the middle of the hood. Push this lever to the right to unlock the hood latch. Finally, lift the hood up and you're all set.

Look at the lower part of the dashboard by the driver's side, where you'll find a small lever close to the door. Pull it out directly until you hear a click. After that, reach under the front edge of the hood to locate the safety latch and raise the hood.
