How can I open the hood of a Subaru Impreza?

To unlock the hood of the Subaru Impreza, first find the hood release lever inside the driver's side cabin. This lever is located to the left of the driver's knee at the bottom of the dashboard, beneath a symbol of a car with an open hood. Pull the lever up until you hear a click. Then, step outside and head to the front of the Impreza. The latch on the hood should be slightly released. Use your fingers to slide under the center of the cover and shift a black lever to the left in order to raise the hood. Secure it in place with one of the stalks in the engine bay. If the latch gets stuck, apply lubricant to fix it. When closing the hood, lower it and press down firmly to lock it securely.
