There isn't a foolproof way to reset the anti-theft system in a Mazda Tribute. The closest solution I could find involves performing a parameter reset. This is helpful when you've replaced a part and need to pair a new or existing key to synchronize the control and module for data transfer. More information is available at the provided Mazda website link. If this doesn't work for you, you may try disabling the system by manually unlocking the driver's door, checking the fuse for issues, or using a spare key to try starting the Tribute.
To turn off the security system in the Mazda Tribute, push the Remote Key Unlock button. If that doesn't work, try unlocking the driver's door with the key and turning the ignition to the on position. If the issue persists, exit the vehicle and manually close all the mirrors before unlocking the driver's door with the key.
Can you remove the barrier post so I can secure the lock?
