The Nissan Altima key fob isn't rechargeable, so you'll need to replace the battery when it runs out of charge. The key fob contains an electronic chip that functions as a transmitter, sending the signal when you press the button to unlock the door. To change the battery, follow these steps. First, take out the hidden key from your key fob. Then, remove the key housing and extract the old battery, being mindful of its orientation within the housing. Insert the new battery, ensuring the negative side faces you in the same way as before. Snap the key parts back together and test to see if it's working properly.
To recharge your Nissan Altima key, use a small flat-headed tool or screwdriver to open the keyfob by inserting it between the battery plate and the keyfob. Take out the old battery and swap it out with a fresh one to power up your key again.
