There are various ways to charge the battery of the Kia Optima Plug In Hybrid. The most straightforward method is to plug it into a standard 120V outlet, like the one in your house. It will take about 9 hours to fully charge, or 5 hours to go from 20% to 80% (as the Optima charges slowly at the beginning and end to preserve the battery). Upgrading to higher kW power can reduce the charging time. Alternatively, you can utilize a public charging station, if it is compatible with your Optima. These stations can charge at speeds up to 150 kW, allowing for a quick "rapid" charge to get you back on the road swiftly.
To recharge a Kia Optima hybrid, all you have to do is drive the car and let the engine replenish the battery.
