If you discover a coolant leak in a 2015 Ford Escape, the first step is to locate the source of the leak. Common areas where leaks may occur include the connections of coolant hoses to the engine or radiator, the heater core, the hoses themselves, or the seals on the radiator. Fixing the leak will depend on where it is coming from. If a hose is leaking at a connection, it may require a new clamp to secure it. If there is a hole in the middle of the hose, it will need to be replaced entirely. For leaks in the heater core or radiator seals, these components will need to be replaced accordingly.
I used to own a 2015 Ford Escape that had a coolant leak, so I decided to trade it in for a new Escape because it was no longer under warranty and I didn't want to deal with the issue. I preferred to make payments on a car that came with a warranty.
Typical signs of coolant leaks are when the engine is running hotter than usual or overheating, spotting a puddle of coolant under the car or in the engine compartment, and smelling a sweet coolant scent near the vehicle.
