Switching out the battery in your Ford Fusion key fob is a very simple task that only takes about 3 to 5 minutes. To start, turn the key fob over to its backside. Locate the notch near the top where the lock and unlock buttons are situated. You should use a coin, a dull knife, or a flathead screwdriver to pry off the cover. Once the cover is off, you'll see two batteries inside, which you can replace, generally costing between $3 and $12 each.
If you need to replace the battery in your Ford Fusion key fob, start by opening the back cover. You might be able to slide it off, but some models may require unscrewing. After you’ve opened it, take out the old battery and insert a new one. Once done, close the cover to finish. You'll need a CR2025 battery, which typically costs between $5 and $6. Keep in mind that removing the battery will reset the key fob.
