In a Ford Fiesta, you'll find the cigarette lighter fuse inside the interior fuse box panel located behind the glove box. It needs to be replaced with a 15 amp fuse, possibly labeled as F29 depending on the model year and powered by the 60 amp FE. The ground for the cigarette lighter is attached to the body near the socket. To change the fuse, you simply remove the old one and insert a new one. If you don't have fingernails, you can use tweezers after cleaning them. Alternatively, there are tools available at most auto parts stores specifically designed for removing fuses, typically costing just a few dollars. You can purchase the replacement fuse for around $5, making it convenient to get everything you need at once.
Pop open the car hood and find the fuse box. Take off the fuse box cover and locate the fuse for the cigarette lighter. Pull out the fuse and inspect it to see if it's blown. If it is blown, swap in a new fuse. Close the hood and test the cigarette lighter to see if it's functioning properly.
