To clear the Check Coolant Additive notification on your Ford F-350, start by going to the settings menu. From there, choose "vehicle" and then "Maintenance." Select "Coolant" and follow the prompt to hold OK once you've checked the coolant additive. This notification will appear each month to remind you to inspect the coolant levels in your vehicle. During testing, the coolant is examined for nitrate presence, glycol percentage, reserve coolant alkalinity, and potential corrosion. The coolant capacity for 2011-2016 models is around 29.4 to 30.3 quarts, with the recommended fluid being Genuine Ford Fluid, which is orange and pre-diluted. It's advised to flush the coolant system initially at 105,000 miles or after 6 years, and then every 45,000 miles/3 years thereafter.
