To reset the anti-theft system in a 2015 Chevy Colorado, ensure the battery is fully charged and the PCM and BCM are functioning correctly. Turn the key to the ON position and attempt to start the engine, then return the key to ON if it doesn't start. The security light will come on in the instrument cluster. Wait for 10 minutes until the light goes off. Turn off the key for 10 seconds and try starting the engine. If it starts, the reset is complete; if not, repeat the process. It may take up to three attempts to reset. Avoid opening the vehicle doors during this process.
To reprogram the security system on your 2015 Chevy Colorado truck, first hold down the panic button on the key fob for five seconds, then press the lock button twice while standing 10 feet away from the vehicle. After that, press the unlock button twice to complete the reset process.
Is it supposed to work in theory? So why is the dealer asking for $150?
I do not possess a keyless entry remote.
To reset the Anti-Theft system, simply open the front doors, remove the keys, and wait for 30 minutes. This will achieve the same effect.
