To reset the brake light on a 2006 BMW X5, start by inserting the key into the ignition and providing power to the vehicle without starting the engine. Then, press and hold the BC button until the display shows the time and mileage. After that, hold down the odometer reset button. A yellow light will appear, and you should continue holding the button until the next light appears. Once this is done, press the check button until you can choose the brakes. Use the BC button to confirm your selection. The brake light should now be reset, allowing you to drive normally.
