To reset the check engine light on a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, start by turning on the hazard lights. The hazard light switch can be found in the middle of the dashboard, between the air vents. Then, press and hold the OD/SET button located at the lower right corner of the speedometer. While holding the button, press the start button without pressing the brake pedal to prevent the engine from starting. The driver display will prompt you to confirm the reset. Press the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel to confirm. Once completed, the message on the dashboard will indicate that the reset is done.
To reset the inspection light in your 2017 VW Jetta, simply turn the ignition key to the "on" position and press the gas pedal down three times slowly. After releasing the pedal, start your vehicle and the inspection light should show that it has been reset.
