Eventually, you'll encounter issues related to the oil. Using old or poor-quality oil can lead to engine failure and the development of knocking noises. Additionally, it may result in poor gas mileage and a distinct burning smell, which could be an indication of a serious problem needing immediate attention to prevent potential hazards like an explosion. It's essential to change your oil regularly, ideally every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, to prevent engine complications. Failure to do so can result in significant issues with your vehicle.
Start up the car's systems, but keep the engine turned off.
Thank you, Christian. It works exactly as you stated.
Start by switching the ignition to the on position but don't start the engine. Next, press the disc menu button on the turn signal lever. Use the thumbwheel to scroll up and choose remaining oil life. Press the set/clear button. A question will pop up; when it does, select yes to confirm. Finally, turn off the ignition.
