To restart the oil light in a 2018 VW Atlas, make sure the doors are shut and avoid pressing the brake pedal. Hold down the reset button located below the screen and simultaneously press the start/stop button. The screen will show "Reset oil change interval". Press the reset button again to finish. An oil change is recommended annually or every 10,000 miles. The vehicle requires 5.8 quarts of oil, including the filter, using SAE 5W-40 synthetic European motor oil meeting Audi, Volkswagen quality standards.
