I presume that you have recently changed the oil in your 2017 Kia Rio and now need to reset the Oil Maintenance Required light since it did not reset on its own. To do this, start by turning the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine. If your Rio has a push-button ignition, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without pressing the brake pedal. Then, press and hold the TRIP button located on the right side of the steering wheel center V-styling below the horn until the USER SETTINGS option appears. Scroll down to MAINTENANCE using the TRIP button and press RESET to choose the desired menu item. Select ENGINE OIL to reset the time and distance for the next maintenance period. Finally, hold down the TRIP button for at least 2 seconds to complete the process.
Here are some instructions to assist you with resetting the oil light on a 2017 Kia Rio: Start the engine and if a service is needed, the display will prompt you to indicate that service is required.
