To reset the oil light on your 2011 Chevy Traverse, start by turning the ignition to the ON position. Then, press the Vehicle Information button repeatedly until you reach the Oil Life Remaining section. Once there, press and hold the Set/Reset button until the display shows 100%. When you hear the chimes, the oil light should turn off. Finally, turn the ignition off. For peace of mind, you can turn the ignition back on to confirm that the light has been successfully reset. If you no longer see the oil light, you are good to go on your journey.

    Start the car, but don't actually turn on the engine. Quickly press the gas pedal three times within 5 seconds. This action will cause the oil light to blink and reset.
