To reset the oil life on a 2015 Ford Transit-250, begin by parking in a safe location. Remember to reset the oil life after each oil change. For the Transit-250, plan on changing the oil approximately every 10,000 miles. To initiate the oil life reset procedure, turn the ignition to the "run" position without starting the engine. Next, simultaneously press down on the brake and accelerator pedals. After about 3 seconds, you will see the message "SERVICE: OIL RESET IN PROG." displayed. Hold the pedals down for about 25 seconds until the message "SERVICE: OIL RESET COMPLETE" appears. Release the pedals, turn off the ignition, start the vehicle, and the oil life will be successfully reset.
Start the car without starting the engine. Simultaneously press the brake and gas pedals. After a moment, the display should indicate "service: oil reset in progress." Keep holding the pedals down for approximately 25 seconds until the screen shows "service: oil reset complete." Let go of the pedals and turn off the vehicle.
You must locate the pan and replace the oil in it, after that, the sensor will stop appearing.
