When the oil life light on your 2019 Ford Expedition reaches 10%, it needs to be reset back to 100% after an oil change. Typically, a mechanic will do this, but if they forget or if you do the maintenance yourself, you can easily reset it. To do so, turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. If your SUV has an ignition button, press it twice without touching the brake pedal. Use the navigation buttons on the steering wheel to access the SETTINGS menu in the instrument cluster. Navigate to ADVANCED SETTINGS, select VEHICLE, then OIL LIFE RESET. Press and hold OK until the oil life shows 100%, then press OK again. Turn off the ignition and start the Expedition to confirm the reset is complete and saved.
Navigate to settings, then select vehicle, and finally, locate the option to reset the oil life.
Navigate to the settings menu on your device, then proceed to access the vehicle section and locate the option to reset the oil life indicator.
