To ensure your 2016 Nissan Sentra's oil change reminder is accurate, it must be reset after each oil change. Failure to do this may result in the vehicle signaling for another oil change earlier than needed. Resetting the reminder is a quick process. Start by turning the ignition on without starting the engine. Then, press the accelerator to the floor three times within five seconds. You'll see the oil light flash and reset. Once done, you can turn off the ignition.
To clear the oil change alert or maintenance notification on your 2016 Nissan Sentra, simply turn the car key to the "on" position and gently press the gas pedal three times. After releasing the pedal, start your car and the oil indicator should show that it's been reset.
