To reset the oil life on your 2011 Hyundai Tucson, you can use one of two methods. The easier method involves using an OBD-II scan tool with oil life reset capability, although this equipment may not be worth the cost unless you already own it. Simply connect the tool to your Tucson’s port and send the appropriate command. If you don't have the scan tool, you can still reset the oil life quickly by using the dash interface. Start by turning the key to the ON position, then navigate through the speedometer menu to find the "Service Required" option. Press and hold the OK button to complete the reset.
To clear the oil level warning or maintenance light on your 2011 Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps: Turn your key to the "on" position and press the gas pedal down slowly three times. After releasing, start your car and the oil light should show that it has been reset.
