To turn off the oil light in a 2013 Dodge Dart, press the reset button below the light. However, if you haven't changed the oil as required, the light will remain on. Before changing the oil, ensure the car has been parked and turned off for a couple of hours to avoid getting burnt by hot oil. Locate the oil pan and drain plug under the engine compartment. Place a bucket underneath the plug and unscrew it to let the oil drain into the pan. Wait until it stops dripping, which could take about an hour. Once done, screw the plug back in, then find the intake port on the top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the full mark, being careful not to overfill. It's okay to be a little under, but overfilling can cause leaks and oil burn-off. After filling it up, close the port, clean any spilled oil, and you're done.
To clear the oil level warning or maintenance light on your 2013 Dodge Dart, simply switch the ignition key to the "on" position and press the gas pedal down slowly three times. Then start your car, and the oil light should show that it has been reset.
It should automatically reset when you have an oil change.
Tap the brakes three times.
