To reset the oil light on your 2012 Mazda5, you're in the correct place. First, turn off the ignition and engage the parking brake. Next, press down on both the gas and brake pedals simultaneously. While keeping your feet on the pedals, turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the car. Release the pedals once you see the Service Reminder Light flashing, which should happen quickly. Turn off the ignition as soon as the light flashes. Confirm that the light has been reset by starting the engine.
