I tested both buttons, but the screen remained on and the radio kept switching screens and adjusting settings automatically. The radio is not working properly, and CarPlay is also not staying active.

In the 2018 Ram truck equipped with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system featuring Android and Apple CarPlay, accessing the engineer's menu requires adjusting the heat settings on the passenger side and turning on the front defrost. Unfortunately, there is no reset option available on this radio. The only known method to reset this particular radio model is to disconnect the battery cable. Despite spending five hours searching, there doesn't seem to be any other solution for the 2018 8.4 Uconnect system with cell phone connectivity.

The only way I found success was by disconnecting one battery cable for about 20 to 30 seconds. Reconnecting it afterwards reset both the radio and climate controls.
