The TPMS on Your 2017 Subaru Impreza is there to alert you when any of your tires are low on air. This can lead to your tires wearing out too quickly, potential tire damage, and unsafe driving situations. Resetting the TPMS is a quick process that involves a few simple steps. Start by turning the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the car. Next, locate the "TPMS" button below the left side of the steering wheel. Hold down the button until you see the low tire pressure light flash a few times, then let go. After starting the car, wait around 20 minutes for the sensors to update. Once this is done, your TPMS has been reset successfully.
The responses provided are inaccurate; the 2017 Subaru Impreza does not have a reset option for TPMS.
To reinitialize the tire pressure monitoring system on a 2017 Subaru Impreza, start by ensuring the tire pressure is accurate. Turn on the car and press the reset button located to the right of the steering wheel. Wait for about ten minutes. Sometimes, you may have to keep the button pressed until the indicator light blinks.
You are correct, Robert. I am learning this the difficult way, and I hope you are still active in this forum. I need to inquire if you have any suggestions on how to make the car detect the new TPMS sensor I have to install because the one it currently has got damaged by Walmart, resulting in the flashing light issue. Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated. My car is a 2016 Subaru Impreza Premium without settings on the lower part of the steering wheel.
Resetting your TPMS is not as difficult as people believe. Just remove the negative battery terminal from the engine for a minute, then reattach and secure it. After starting the car, the TPMS lights will be gone. Prior to this procedure, ensure that your tire pressures are at the proper levels. Drive safely, everyone! 😊
Sadly, American Subaru vehicles do not come with a TPMS reset button. What a disappointment.
I can't seem to locate the button on my 2017 Subaru Impreza.
