On the 2017 Toyota 4Runner, you can't manually reset the TPMS sensors. The recommended way is to make sure each tire has the correct pressure, then drive at least 40 miles per hour for 15 minutes. If this doesn't work, it's likely that one or more of your TPMS sensors are faulty. To replace or fix a sensor, you'll need a TPMS reset tool, which can cost over $175. Tire shops can also do the reset, but it will come with a fee. Expect to pay between $20 and $50 for the procedure, not including the cost of a new sensor if needed.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on a 2017 Toyota 4Runner, ensure that the tire pressure is accurate, start the vehicle, press the reset button located on the right side of the steering wheel, and wait for ten minutes. If necessary, keep the button pressed until the light blinks. If the sensor malfunctions, it could be due to incorrect tire pressure, resulting in poor vehicle performance.
