In 2016 Chrysler 200 cars, the tire pressure monitor system, known as TPMS, utilizes sensors in the valve stem of each tire to wirelessly keep track of the tire pressure on all wheels. This system communicates data via an RF signal approximately every minute. If a sensor detects low tire pressure, a warning light will be displayed on the dashboard. To reset the light, simply inflate the tire to the correct pressure and drive for 10-15 minutes at a speed of 15 mph or faster. During this time, the sensor will recheck the pressure and deactivate the warning light. These sensors depend on battery power and may need to be replaced every 5-6 years.
The buttons located on the right side of the steering wheel control the Cruise Settings.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on your 2016 Chrysler 200 in the US, ensure that the tire pressure is at the right level before starting the vehicle. Then, press the reset button located on the right side of the steering wheel and wait for ten minutes. In some instances, you may have to press and hold the button until the light blinks. If the sensor is not functioning properly, it could be due to incorrect tire pressure, which can lead to poor vehicle performance.
