To recalibrate the tire pressure sensor in your 2017 Dodge Ram 2500, first, inflate all tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the sticker. Switch off the vehicle and let it sit for a minimum of 20 minutes. Then, drive the vehicle at speeds over 15 MPH for at least 10 minutes. The relearning process may take between 10-35 minutes of driving. The vehicle will recognize the ID of each sensor and deactivate the TPMS light. Remember to regularly check your tire pressure with the same gauge at least once a month. Driving with low tire pressure is unsafe and can lead to a blowout. If the tire pressure warning light illuminates, do not disregard it as you might have a flat tire.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the 2017 Ram 2500, start by ensuring that the tire pressure is accurate. After that, start the vehicle and press the reset button located on the right side of the steering wheel. Wait for about ten minutes for the reset process to complete. In certain situations, you might need to hold down the button until the light flashes. If the sensor is malfunctioning, it could indicate that the tires have incorrect pressure, which can negatively affect the car's performance.
