To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system on the Mitsubishi Montero in the United States, start by ensuring the vehicle is parked in a safe and level area. Then, confirm that the tire pressures are set correctly - 29 psi for the front tires and 29 to 35 psi for the rear tires. To reset the system, use a scan tool and follow these steps: scan each sensor starting from the left front, then the right front, followed by the right rear, and finally the left rear. With the ignition switched on but the engine not running, connect the scan tool to the OBDII port to upload the sensor IDs. Turn the ignition off, rescan each sensor, and finally, drive the vehicle at a speed of at least 30 mph for a minimum of 10 minutes.
